Have you ever doubted whether or not God is at work in the world? Do you look around and see so much evil and so much darkness in the world that you begin to think the enemy is winning? Then you may need the encouragement that Luke offers the church today in the book of Acts that we will begin studying in February 2026.

The book of Acts is encouragement for the church and Christians today that Jesus is building his church. Luke shows us that Jesus is at work in the world as he sits on his heavenly throne and despite the enemy's constant effort to oppose the building of the church and the Great Commission effort, the gates of hell shall not prevail!

The church is central to God's plan to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom to the whole world. The church is to be witnesses to Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit beginning Jerusalem, then in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth because there is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved then the name of Jesus.
